What are wisdom teeth?
Wisdom teeth are a set ofthird molars in the back of your mouth. They usually come in between the ages of 17 and 25. If they erupt smoothly and without any interruption, then they can be proved as an asset. But the problem with third molars is they usually don’t erupt or in case they do not erupt, they are usually malaligned.Completely unerupted wisdom teeth usually end in no symptoms, although they might sometimes develop cysts or neoplasms. Erupted wisdom teeth can develop cavities or pericoronitis. Removal of wisdom teeth is suggested within the case of certain pathologies.
What is the need to remove wisdom teeth ?
- They are impacted. Because they are so far back in your mouth, wisdom teeth may not come in normally.
- They erupt in wrong direction, and may press against adjacent teeth.
- Decayed wisdom tooth
What to expect after wisdom tooth removal?
Everyone responds differently to anesthesia. If you had a local anesthetic and feel alert, you might be able to drive home to begin your recovery.
After wisdom teeth removal you might be able to do normal activities like your daily routine but some people have little pain or swelling but it will be solved after some days.
